Mandie EddieFrom a young age, Mandie realized she could not go through the world riding a tricycle wearing nothing but a bowl on her head. She began working with textiles as a teenager and before starting her family, worked selling 10 different brands of sewing machines in Hamilton Ontario. Once she became a mother began sewing for her home and four children.
Opening a store in Cayuga, Ontario in the 1990's she sold sewing machines, fabric, notions, knitting machines and yarns and did custom sewing. During the summers she taught the "Kids Can Sew" program for children 8 years and older. Working closely with the local High school, she developed the very first "jelly roll" kits for students! She closed the store in 1993 to pursue a professional career. During that time she continued to do custom sewing as a side business. Now semi-retired she has launched Jane Street Quilts and made creating quilts and home decor her full time occupation. With years of experience in creating unique items, repairing goods, sewing custom window coverings and home decor - she offers professional products and services to the discerning client. Pick up and delivery to the GTHA is from Limerick Township - south of Bancroft Ontario.
