Custom Quilt Pricing

Custom quilt making is a detailed process for us - but doesn't need to be difficult for you!  A handmade quilt is truly an investment you will treasure for years to come.  Like all things in the life, the bigger the item, the more materials and time it takes to create it.  Keeping this in mind,  a lap quilt costs less than a King sized quilt - however we do work within budgets! Contact us here for any questions.

FABRIC
A queen sized quilt will require fabric for a top, backing and batting.  This cost is for materials only and may amount to $200 - $450.  Fabric costs will depend on your choice of fabrics.  A quilt will last decades if made with quality fabric and often becomes a family heirloom.

ASSEMBLY AND QUILTING

Assembly and quilting for a queen sized quilt will take approximately 25- 50 hours.  This charge will amount to $400. and up.  To make it easy for you to plan ahead I price my start to finish quits by the square inch.  ($0.09 per sq inch plus fabric costs)

Once your quilt is ordered - we do take a deposit in the estimated amount of the cost of the fabric.  A detailed quote is given to you before any purchases or work begins.

TOTAL COST TO YOU

​Most Queen sized quilts to order are priced between $750 - $1200. depending on the detail of the quilt and the cost of the fabric. 

Wall hangings are priced individually according to detail and size.

Pricing - the short story!

I use an easier method by pricing a custom quilt by square inch - before fabric costs.  Start to finish is  $0.09/ square inch  This makes a lap quilt 70 x 56 approximately $350 and a queen sized quilt approx $750.00 before fabric costs.  Fabric and batting can range from $150 for smaller quilts to $400 for extra large quilts.  ​

Sizing

Here are suggested sizes for quilt tops. It includes a 15" drop on either side.  No provision is made for pillow tuck. These sizes are subject to your bed size, pattern and amount of drop you want on the side of your quilt.

Crib;         36" x 60"
Lap:          55" x 75"
Twin:        70" x 90"
Double:    84" x 90"
Queen:     90" x 95"
King:       108" x 95"
