Training and Workshops
Yes! Are you looking for a specific Workshop? Is there a quilt, a process or a technique you woud like to learn in person?
Have your guild or convenor contact me or use this form to submit a request. I began teaching classes in 1990 as Pfaff sewing maching representative and have worked in training on and off for over 30 years. Sewing and custom home decor were my go-tos but now as a longarmer I have discovered the wonderful world of quilting. Wanting to quilt more economically and quickly, I have developed "No Waste Quick Finish" quilt patterns and teach them to novices and experts alike. The methods I have developed are a conglomeration of years of learning different time saving techniques and of course the love of pinching pennies! I continue to search for short cuts (that make sense and make better quilts) and cost saving methods so that quilting becomes affordable again! If you would like a workshop developed or want a trunk show - please give me a shout ay (705) 791-8830. I'll likely be quilting but can usually hear you over the hum of the longarm! I do travel and offer reasonable rates for teaching. I can also supply kits, batting and backings for workshops I offer. I bring with me an excitement and love of colour and design. I teach mostly traditional blocks - making them more modern and appealing to fit into today's decor. I also offer one on one training and workshops in my studio and can accomodate 4 people comfortably. If you would like to visit the studio - why not come out for Studio Tuesday and bring your machine with you! |
