I have learned that some of you have received communication from a Bob Lepp. Mr. Lepp is an individual who I sued for defamation in 2018 and whose conduct before and during the litigation has been malicious and defamatory.
Early this year, on January 3, 2023 Madam Justice Pollak released a decision finding that Mr. Lepp has defamed me and awarding damages including punitive damages in the amount of $550,000.00, which is one of the largest defamatory damage award in Ontario history. A copy of the decision is attached should you wish to review the court’s decision which found the Mr. Lepp was motivated by malice toward me. My understanding is that Mr. Lepp may have correspondence with numerous members of Roaring Women. Even though that correspondence likely occurred before Her Honour released the decision, I thought it prudent to reach out to all former members and advise them of the situation and request that you do not respond. Mr. Lepp has not acted reasonably in this and other litigation. To date, he has been convicted of criminal harassment and also found liable for defaming myself and one other women. In my opinion, Mr. Lepp often targets women who, in his mind, oppose him in some way. I recommend simply not engaging with him in any manner. Madam Justice Pollak has found Bob Lepp to have defamed Mandie Eddie online and through email and mail correspondence to hundreds of people over a period of 5 years.
